Abortion
An Egregious Wrong

“Abortion is just one issue!” That’s what you will hear if you tell someone you would not vote for a pro choice candidate. If that fetus is a living baby it should be the only issue!
In a fair up or down vote in nearly any community abortion would not stand a chance. There’s a difference in looking the other way, and actually voting on the life or death of a child.
One million plus babies have been killed every year since our liberal supreme court made the Roe verses Wade decision in 1973. We have raised a generation who think that they have a Constitutional right to an abortion. But try to find anything in the fourteenth amendment or all of the Constitution that could be interpreted as a woman’s right to abort her baby.
When we see the death of those we are suppose to protect we should stand against it regardless of the consequences. Martin Luthor King Jr. said, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Today there is a missing ingredient, Faith.
The absence of Faith does not leave a vacuum. It is always replaced with something, fear, bitterness, pride. Whatever it is it will not be constructive.
Abraham Lincoln said, “With firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right.” I firmly believe in the separation of church and state. But Thomas Jefferson said, “A democracy will only work in a moral society.”
What about the mental state of those who have abortions, especially the inexperienced in life. An unwanted pregnancy may be the first real catastrophe they face. They have no idea how much a bad decision at a young age can haunt you and bring about years of depression. When the Supreme Court says that it is okay, that validates, what seems to them, the lesser of two evils. Our laws should give them a clear course to navigate!
You may use the time worn pious platitude, “I do not believe in abortion but I will not take away someone else’s right to choose.” This is the standard answer of a politician trying to please everyone, or a guilty conscience trying to justify prioritizing other issues above what they know to be an egregious wrong!
The Amendment to change this injustice, or the overturning of “Roe v, Wade” is inevitable. With technology what it is today, there is ample evidence to see the little human being is alive and well before the abortion.  And nobody wants to look at a dead fetus.
