The Battle of Armageddon

The ultimate battle between good and evil is fought at Calvary.

The battlefield is the heart of man.

I can see Satan now, as he gathers all the demonic forces that hell has to offer. He say’s, “ OK boys we’ve defeated every man that has ever lived. The grave is my domain and I own everyone in it. Some have had hope and faith that God would make a way for them and their hope is bound up in the life and death of this one man.
If we don’t get Jesus to sin before he dies all is lost. We will have to use every trick in the book. We will make him experience what hell is like while he’s still alive. I know he’s the Son of God. But he’s also a man and when he’s insulted he hurts, when those he loves are hurting he weeps, hypocrisy makes him angry and when he’s cut he will bleed. Here’s the plan I will disguise myself to look like the face of every person involved in this greatest of all sins. He’ll have every reason to hate them. I will mock him and make fun of him till his heart is flooded with indignation! I will prolong his death so that he can drink the full cup of his Father’s wrath. Now don’t you boys get shaky when you see Michael and all the angels standing ready with their swords drawn to deliver him that will only serve to make it more tempting for him to quit.”
I don’t know if that’s the way the battle plan went but I know when Jesus said, “Forgive them Father for they know not what they do” love defeated Satan’s best scheme.”    1 Corinthians, 13: 1-13.
