I cannot hear out of my right ear and my sinuses are closed
I cough and spit every little bit, I feel like I’ve been hosed
Who gives a rip that I have postnasal drip or acid indigestion?
I’d have to be dead to stay in bed it’s not a good suggestion
My boss doesn’t care or is unaware that I just might be contagious
He thinks I’m lucky to feel so yucky, absenteeism is outrageous
So it’s off to whine on the assembly line, to moan and complain
No one knows about my woes; my suffering and pain
Suddenly it dawns on me or maybe it’s divine revelation
I don’t have to hurry or even worry, today I start my vacation
My constipation turns to jubilation my fever starts to break
Breakfast sounds yummy to my upset tummy I think I’ll have a steak
Someone has rightly said, "Attitude determines Altitude." This fun little poem may be a little over the top but there are many like myself that are not self starters. It's okay take a breath God made you that way. Whithin the full spectrum of your genetic makeup you will find gifts that accompany this laid back approach to life. "An unexamined life is not worth living."
There is more to growing than just investigation. Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith we can capitlize on our God given strengths and take heart that, "Through weakness his strength is made perfect."
